By creating an account or otherwise using The Compound ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information and for keeping your credentials secure. You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or use another player's account without permission.
The Compound is a competitive social game. You agree not to: (a) harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against other players; (b) post sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise unlawful content; (c) exploit bugs, use automation, or otherwise cheat; (d) attempt to access other accounts, our infrastructure, or non-public data; or (e) use the Service to violate any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, at our sole discretion.
You retain ownership of the messages, avatars, images, and other content you submit. By posting content, you grant The Compound a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely to operate and promote the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the rights to share it.
Compound+ and other paid features are billed on a recurring basis until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; access continues through the end of the current billing period. Virtual goods and in-game points have no cash value and are non-refundable except where required by law.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that pose a risk to other players, or that are inactive for extended periods. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. Gameplay outcomes, matchmaking, and rankings are determined by the Service and are final.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Compound and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
